The New Frontier of Music
If all goes well, we will have built the next medium shift in music. It will be standard for each artist to have a digital record collection for each album release. It will be as if an artist’s creation is a dividend stock, yielding value in the form of royalties to their fans and supporters, opening an entirely new free-market creator economy accessible to anyone, not just the big guys. This will enable fans to capitalize on their existing social capital and take ownership of the value they create for the industry.
Fans will now have to choose between which artist-world they want to be a part of. Are you gonna hold The Kid Laroi’s collectible that gives you access to soundcheck at every tour? Or Beyonce’s collectible that gives you an item from every new merchandise collection?
Optimizing Accessibility
When users want to claim digital ownership, many are unable to do so because they cannot afford the excessive costs, they are late, or simply because they are unlucky. These barriers to entry hurt the creator space and restrict consumers from taking ownership in communities they are passionate about.
Anyone with as little as $1 can start their own record label and make a living off of supporting artists early on and catching trends in the industry. And best of all: if all music was released on-chain, we will never have an issue paying the correct IP owners for use of their music.
The Vision
With seeing our vision realized, we will have built the main platform people buy and sell music collectibles and invest in their favorite artists. We will have a comprehensive ecosystem of the best technologies, tools, and experiences that give any artist a viable career option as long as they can build a strong community.
